Registration Desk

Opens at 8:00 AM daily at Kololo Independence Grounds. Please present your digital pass or confirmation email at check-in.

Connectivity

Wi-Fi is available at the summit venue. Charging points will be located in designated networking areas.

Meals

Lunch and light refreshments will be served during the summit at Kololo Independence Grounds. Breakfast and dinner will be at your hotel.

Dress Code

Business casual for daytime sessions.
Cocktail or traditional attire is recommended for the evening events.

• Ride hailing apps - Uber and Bolt
• Kiira Motors - Uganda's Premier EV manufacturer will be providing guest transportation between hotels and Summit location.

Currency Advisory:

Uganda's official currency is the Ugandan Shilling (UGX). Cash is widely used, especially in rural areas, but credit and debit cards are accepted at most urban hotels, restaurants, and large retail outlets.

• Exchange Rates: The UGX is relatively stable, but fluctuations may occur. Real-time exchange rates can be accessed through reliable platforms like XE.com or local banks.
• Currency Exchange: Major foreign currencies (USD, EUR, GBP) are easily exchanged at airports, authorized forex bureaus, and banks. US dollar notes printed before 2013 may not be accepted.
• ATM Access: Widely available in urban centers with Visa and Mastercard compatibility. Rural areas may have limited access; plan accordingly.
• Tips: Carry small denominations for local purchases and transportation. Always exchange money at authorized bureaus to avoid counterfeit currency

Health Advisory:

Visitors to Uganda are advised to take the following health precautions

• Vaccinations:
  • Yellow Fever: Mandatory for entry; carry proof of vaccination.
  • Recommended Vaccines: Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, MMR, and Tetanus.
  • Malaria Prevention: Uganda is a malaria-endemic country. Use prophylactic medication, mosquito repellent, and sleep under treated nets.
• COVID-19 Guidelines:
  • Follow the latest travel advisories from Uganda’s Ministry of Health and WHO.
  • Carry proof of vaccination or recent negative test results if required.
• Water & Food Safety:
  • Drink only bottled or boiled water.
  • Eat at reputable establishments to avoid foodborne illnesses.
• Medical Facilities:
  • Major hospitals and private clinics in Kampala offer quality care. For emergencies, hospitals like International Hospital Kampala (IHK) and Nakasero Hospital are recommended.
  • Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical evacuation is advised.
